What we do

We meet to enjoy playing the old card game of cribbage. Beginners or experienced players are welcome to join us.

May 2018

Meetings

9, 23 Apr; 21May; 4, 18 Jun. No play during July and August.

There has been good support from members so far this year but unfortunately our regular dates fall on both Bank Holidays in May. Therefore there will be only five playing days leading up to the Summer break - see above.

November 2017

2018 Meetings: 15, 29 Jan; 12, 26 Feb; 12, 26 Mar; 9, 23 Apr

 

The group has had a successful year and is looking forward to 2018.

 

New members – either experienced players or beginners – are always welcomed.

July 2017

The group is looking forward to resuming its meetings after the summer break and the co-ordinator, Alan Hill, says, “new members will be welcome”.

March 2017

We continue to test our addition skills and try to remember who dealt and which way round the cribbage board we are going.  We welcome back Alan Hill, founder of the group, as co-ordinator.

November 2016

After the summer break we are once more testing our mathematical skills.  There are 2,598,960 five card hands and of these only one tenth contain no scoring combinations.
