You do not need to come to every event; choose those which most appeal. Non-members and friends welcome. (Maximum 2 U3A events).
We aim for an easy-going, friendly group: distinctly non-stuffy. All restaurants/hotels are amongst the very finest in Cumbria.
Our hostesses greet you at the entrance and you will be made most welcome.

Wed 15th January - lunch at the Black Bull, Sedbergh - £27.50 for 3 courses
Wed 12th February - lunch at Levens Kitchen - £30 for 3 courses.

Due to huge interest and a long waiting list for our next lunch at the Gilpin Spice restaurant, the group has booked a second date for this very popular event. The new date is Wednesday 30 October at 1 pm. The cost will be £30, payable on the day. If you’d like to come along, please email Pat Dalzell as soon as possible, or call on 07704 297033 if you have any queries.
The December event will be lunch at the new Simon Rogan restaurant Henrock at Linthwaite House on Thursday 5 December. This event is currently full, but there is a waiting list. Again, please let Pat know if you’re interested.
Earlier this year 37 of us had two jolly nights at Café Olive. Fresh, tasty food and great service.
The Gaddum provided exquisite food and excellent service for 30 of us; perfection, and they kindly donated a bottle of wine for our prize draw. Hare and Hounds, Levens, report next newsletter.

Awarded Michelin Star 2018. Finalist Cumbria Life Food and Drink Awards 2019. Chef Tom Barnes, previously worked as head chef at L’Enclume. 2 courses £24. 3 courses £29.

Lowther Estate country pub produces and rears much of its own food. Best pub in the county ‘2018 National Pub and Bar Awards’.
