Coronavirus is with us now,
Silently moving over land,
Killing millions with it's dirty hands.
Now we're in lock down,
Feeling the pain,
As daily death tolls rise.
It can be hard to remain positive,
Especially for some,
Others find pleasure in all things small,
With spring emerging all around us,
Human kindness too,
A friendly nod, a loving smile,
All at a two metre distance.
Come 8 O'clock on Thursday evenings,
Clapping and cheering our NHS staff,
In Windows rainbows, symbols of hope,
Not knowing when we will meet again,
BUT WE WILL!!
